Italian Business Integrity Day: Gaetana Morgante, full professor of criminal law and Director of the Dirpolis (Law, Politics, Development) Institute of the Sant'Anna School, participates to the event organized by the Italian ambassador to Romania

Gaetana Morgante, Full Professor of Criminal Law and Director of the Dirpolis (Law, Politics, Development) Institute of the Sant’Anna School, was invited to the Italian Business Integrity Day (april 12, 2022) organized by the Italian Ambassador to RomaniaAlfredo Durante Mangoniformer Plenipotentiary Minister of the DGMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in the framework of a multi-year initiative aimed at allowing the main Italian companies to share their best practices on business integritytransparency and anticorruption at an international level.

The event is part of a broader project which, in collaboration with the main Italian embassies abroad, enhances the commitment of the Italian private sector in designing, experimenting and sharing tools and best practices against all forms of malpractice, counteracting the widespread high perception of corruption in our country and creating the conditions for the attractiveness of our country to possible foreign investors.

Gaetana Morgante will introduce, moderate and conclude the event, discussing, within the framework of the line of research she has been conducting over the past years on the public-private alliance against corruption, the importance of a joint commitment against illegality and the collaboration of all the actors of the economic and institutional system. The event will be attended by representatives of AspiEnel GroupFalck RenewablesLeonardoSnam, as well as Transparency InternationalBIAC at OECDErnst and Young.

“The fight against all forms of malpractice - says Gaetana Morgante - cannot disregard  the collaboration between the private and public system, intervening on the very first conditions facilitating the commission of offenses in a structural and not episodic and defensive way in the belief that the integrity of the business can be crucial to rebuild the relationship of trust between peoplecompanies and public administrations creating value for present and future generations”.
